Here is the final version of my visual book. I decided to use the same theme as I had mentioned in class but I changed the materials because I felt that the Conte Crayon colors resembled a cave drawing. I also decided to sew the pages together instead of make the pages flip because the backgrounds seem to flow from one page to the next, and I think the story reads better in this manor.

As a visual object/book this assignment does more than meet the expectation. I like the organic nature of the "object" or book and how the viewer can unfold it to learn about your subject. I also like the materials you used to construct the object. The only thing I would suggest or add is to either make the front cover or the inside content more similar. The title on the cover looks sharp and clean while the inside content/imagery is more worn looking (pastels, conte) and rubbed in. Perhaps if some part of the inside reflected the front cover...
